Birthday Wrap-Up

So, today wasn't quite what I had in mind; everyone tells me that the older I get, the lower my expectations need to be. Maybe it's just because school just finished and I've been so insane or because graduation is coming up - I don't know. I didn't have the "Kristi Minsterman" birthday I'm used to having. Maybe next year. Or Wednesday when Robin and I have our joint party.

Speaking of Robin... She took me to Ben and Jerry's for dinner (HA!) and then Boston Market for a mashed potato dessert. Robin knows my deep love for giraffes so this is what I got...

Holy cow, please tell me that is not the cutest darn thing you have EVER seen?? Swarovski crystal giraffe. Apparently his name is chit-chat - whatever the heck that means, so I renamed him Jorge. The hispanic sidekick to Georgie the giraffe. Speaking of Robin - send good thoughts her way, she has a job thing tomorrow. Oh, and her b-day is Wednesday!!

Some photos of Christopher's office transformation. I wish I had before shots but he would have NEVER let me share them. For those of you who have seen it previously, enjoy. It's the only room in my house that is clean right now. But that's ok, he was COMPLETELY surprised and LOVES it. :-)

New dresser, neatly packed with perfectly folded clothes.

Scanning right...

Hooray for it no longer being just a storage room!!

Desk - I cleaned the top and set up his computer things.

This may just look like a drawer, but it was 10 years worth of crap paperwork. It took hours for me to get it to look like this.

Even organized and cleaned out the bookcase.

Diploma and some random books.

I'm still working on organizing his files. I have most of them done, but a huge pile to shred and it's going to take a few more days to get through them. Plus, I have people coming to my house on Wednesday for a party so it'd be nice if the rest of the house was at least PICKED UP since C's office is now spotless. I must say, I'm pretty proud of myself. :-D

Thank you to everyone who sent birthday well-wishes through phone, text, mail, Facebook etc. Every single one made me smile. Sorry I couldn't get back to everyone today, but I'll work on it this week.
