For all concerned parties with whom I did not get a chance to call today, the rapid strep test came back negative. The doctor still took a throat culture and if it turns out I do have strep, I should know within a day or two.
I felt fine all weekend and then Sunday night I came home and BAM - my throat started to hurt. I was up all Sunday night nauseous with severe throat pain. My lymph nodes blew up and alas, this is how I have been for the past few days. Let it be known that I completely, 100%, blame Lindsey Urbaniak Molnar for this. Had I not partaken in her joyous occasion, I may not have picked up this lovely little bug. Love shmove, wedding shmedding. ;-)
I did get to wear this ADORABLE mask all day long at the hospital. Not that I looked my finest to begin with, but you gotta love a nurse shoving a mask in your face while a hot doctor walks by. I suppose that's what I get for trying to check out the hot doctors while my loving, caring fiance is at home. Oops! :-) He can make a mean Lipton noodle soup... (Christopher, not the doctor. Although I'm sure the doctor can follow directions well too - and it's not that it takes too much talent). Christopher: I love you. Thank you for taking care of me. Your soup is better than that ol' hot doctor's soup could ever be.
I miss my mama. :-( Being sick is the pits!!
